It’s official Census day today and we would like to encourage all our ethnic communities to get online and complete their Census forms.
The Auckland Regional Migrant Services (ARMS) has set up devices with wifi for people needing access and assistance in the completion of their forms.
ARMS Chief Executive Officer, Rochana Sheward is urging the wider Auckland community to seek help if they don’t have access to technology or if they haven’t received their access codes.
“We are here to help our communities and make it as easy as possible for them to participate by offering our facilities and equipment. We also have trained staff, who can assist people in understanding the procedure in completing the forms.”
Over the past few weeks, ARMS has worked with various communities around their understanding of Census and engaging with them around their needs and any barriers which they might have in completing the form.
Those needing paper forms, including bilingual forms can call the Census helpline on 0800 CENSUS (0800 236 787), and select the option to request paper forms.
The ARMS office is located on 532 Mt Albert Road, inside the Three Kings Plaza.
We would like to invite anyone who is having difficulty completing their form to drop by at our Centre.
