Press Release: ARMS are moving offices

August 10, 2018

PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

August 10, 2018

Moving to the needs of migrants and former refugees, ARMS are moving offices.

ARMS will be moving to Level 2, 8 Virginia Ave West, Eden Terrace, Auckland 1020, from Thursday 23rd August, 2018, with new office open 28th August 2018.

After years of being based in Three Kings, Auckland Regional Migrant Services (ARMS) are moving locations. Prompted by the needs of a growing population of migrants and former refugees, ARMS are relocating to a new office that will help streamline their support, by maximising their resources and encouraging greater connection in the community.

ARMS’ mission is to actively enable and support the full integration and participation of migrants and resettled families communities in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Reviewing location and accessibility alongside the needs of these communities is a key part to delivering this mission.

ARMS’ Chief Executive, Rochana Sheward, believes the move to be a great move forward to ensuring ARMS works towards addressing and breaking down the barriers to settlement and integration migrants and resettled communities (including former refugees) face.

“Our new office is a great move forward for ARMS. The Auckland region is wide and our new location is not only central but also encourages us to streamline our resources, to improve our regional reach and engagement initiatives with migrants and former refugees within their communities, with less onsite facilities”.

ARMS is currently selling furniture and office equipment in preparation of the move, listed on Trade me here (https://bit.ly/2MlmsEd). All other ARMS contact details will remain the same with all other existing programmes and workshops running as per usual, with very few rescheduled. Please check our website http://www.settlement.org.nz or our Facebook/ARMSCTNZ for updates.
