Inequitable access to employment and enterprise, social isolation, racism and discrimination are just some of the barriers newcomers (migrants and refugees) face as they try to build new lives in New Zealand. They are prevalent issues that need new innovative solutions, creative thinking, collaboration, systems change and a champion to lead that way. We need you.
In light of a recent brand name to Belong Aotearoa and strategy change, we’ve created a new and exciting role that will help us address these persistent barriers to successful settlement and integration.
The role will put your vast skills and experience into use as you facilitate long lasting positive change in Auckland’s resettled and migrant communities. With a helicopter view of what’s happening across systems, settings and in this community, you’ll identify, leverage and create opportunities with others to address systematic issues/challenges and find innovative solutions and recommendations, to systemic issues.
You will have the ability to mobilise different stakeholders into action, connect, create and maintain valuable relationships and partnerships, project manage and lead through an adaptive and changing environment.
